 THE LANTERNS' SQUARE

"EVERYTHING FALLS FROM THE SKY

 EVERYTHING RISES FROM THE GROUND"

The Lanterns' Square

The installation is inspired by the reinterpretation of the festival of lanterns and provides for the preparation of a permanent space that, through representative elements, tries to create a place of strong evocative impact.

The realization consists of two distinct moments: the first, horizontal, develops within a form that contains a mirror of water above which arched wooden piers create symbolic links highlighting the material aspect of life. The other, the vertical, more spiritual, through the ascending element of the lantern materializes the continuous transport of man's desires, representing the intercession between the human and the divine. The lanterns, driven by man and the colors associated with different spiritual needs, are lit in their path of ascent to the sky, then fall out, thus giving life to a continuous light effects and reflections in the water.

The intent is to create a moment of pause and reflection within a metropolitan space, provoking a continuous interaction between the figurative element and the need for spiritual harmony that every man carries with him, a sacral place similar to a " temple "that embraces all cultures, in which man performs a function that can be traced back to prayer.
